The Center for International Programs held a meeting with Dr. Mohamed Bamatraf, Executive Director of Murdoch University Dubai and Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The meeting was attended by Serik Kalkamanov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Adil Kusmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Center for International Programs; Duman Orynbekov, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Shakarim University; and Yerassyl Dulatbay, Board Member and Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation of Shakarim University.
Murdoch University Dubai is an international branch of Murdoch University, one of Australia’s leading research universities. The university actively participates in educational and research integration processes across the region.
During the meeting, Adil Kusmanov, Chairman of the Board, presented the Center’s key areas of activity, mechanisms of international partnership, and ongoing initiatives, including the “Bolashak” International Scholarship and the “Scientific Internships” program. In his remarks, he noted: “Cooperation with Murdoch University Dubai opens new opportunities to strengthen educational and research ties between Kazakhstan and Australia. By implementing joint projects, we are confident that we can enhance trilateral collaboration between local universities, international institutions, and the Center.”
The parties discussed the main areas of potential cooperation, including the development of joint educational programs, implementation of scientific research projects, expansion of students’ international exposure, and strengthening of strategic partnerships in higher education.
Following the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in further enhancing cooperation and reached agreements on future joint initiatives.
